Old timers may remember the fantastic tones identifiable with the classic SUNN™ Model T amp. Unlike, the one knob gold pedal, which falsely claims to emulate the Model T our design is much like the original. It has a two channel configuration that lets you use either one or both simultaneously as well as the ability to blend adjusting Gain Pots!
This assures you will get the best JFETs and proper On-On-On DPDT switch needed for channel switching and more! Our 3PDT board as well as the Sunn-T have multiple power and ground connections making them ideal for a killer combo.
Metal Heads be sure to buy a Ratt Deluxe to combine with the Sunn-T for the infamous Doom tones that still have guitarists paying big $$$ for this rig!
See Video for more:
We found some DPDT switches that use a different contact pattern than the one posted in the SUNN T Build Doc.
Here is an alternate wiring diagram that may help. Many switches do not use the pattern below.
When in doubt, please check the switch pattern in the center position before soldering.
If you have a question or trouble understanding a switch post a forum topic under General.
Use a DMM to be sure which patter your DPDT On-On-ON switch uses before wiring
"The Sunn-T pedal is extremely bold, with a hard hitting, percussive voice that attacks quickly and without mercy. Harmonic content is exceptional, with plenty of vibrant overtones that accentuate the voicing of the instrument being played. With plenty of tone shaping options and rugged construction, the Sunn-T pedal is a phenomenal clean boost or EQ shaping tool, allowing players to accentuate their tone with plenty of cut, slice and punch!"
Here is a drill Template. This is only one idea.
